They are "tough, they are brave, they are durable, they are amenable to discipline." Not all Nepalis, not all of the castes that tend to fill the ranks of the Gurkhas, but the ones who pass the test are really, really, really hard men. And they tend to be proud of that, whether they agree with whatever war they're fighting or not.<br /><br />On that point, why should native Brits fight wars they may not care about started by politicians who don't care about them?
