Oh no we're not!

The Times reviews a turbulent week of many mixed messages from the Conservatives.

They missed a further example, set out by the FT.


The shadow chancellor implicitly rejected a suggestion by Philip Hammond, his deputy, that "nobody is suggesting that we are going to follow Greece".

Mr Osborne insisted the UK was "facing a Greek-style fiscal crisis if we do not deal with this problem".


The idea of making George Osborne central to the General Election campaign, amusingly pitched by Vinay Nair to the Fabian New Year Conference grows in appeal.
