Dubya's place in history? He's not bovvered

Still-here President Bush speaking to ABC News.

I'll be frank with you. I don't spend a lot of time really worrying about short-term history. I guess I don't worry about long-term history, either, since I'm not going to be around to read it -- (laughter) -- but, look, in this job you just do what you can.

Hat-tip: Andrew Sullivan.

Welcome

Welcome to the Next Left blog from the Fabian Society. We have been writing about policies and politics since the late 19th century. Now we are firmly in the 21st century, starting debates that matter today. As with all Fabian publications, posts on Next Left represent the views of their individual authors, not the collective view of the Fabian Society as a whole.
