Tension is building at the Imperial College as delegates arrive for the Today's Fabian New Year conference - Fairness doesn't happen by chance.
The spotlight this morning will be on climate change secretary Ed Miliband, who will be delivering the keynote speech at the Central London venue at 10am.
Also addressing the Great Hall will be Deputy Leader of the Labour Party Harriet Harman, who will be involved in the ‘What do the people think about fairness?’ session.
Delegates may choose instead to hear Peter Mandelson tackling some of the key economic issues at the ‘Fairness in a recession’ debate.
There will be reports and updates here on Next Left and on the Fabian website throughout the day.
