You can watch tonight's debate live here on Next Left, where our panel asks if the Labour Party can learn lessons from Barack Obama's Presidental campaign. The event will launch a new Fabian book called 'The Change We Need: What Britain Can Learn From Obama's Victory'. It explores how tactics used to sweep Barack Obama to power could be applied to political campaigning in the UK.
It features (from left to right) Catherine Mayer from Time Magazine, Will Straw from American Progress, David Lammy MP, Alastair Campbell and Obama's online consultant Ben Barndazl.
UPDATE: Live feed was lost due to battery failure - sorry! Will post the remaining section which was filmed on a different camcorder later.
Welcome to the Next Left blog from the Fabian Society. We have been writing about policies and politics since the late 19th century. Now we are firmly in the 21st century, starting debates that matter today. As with all Fabian publications, posts on Next Left represent the views of their individual authors, not the collective view of the Fabian Society as a whole.
